Haiti Relief Fund SATURDAY, JANUARY 23, 2010 Posted by: Victoria Free Presbyterian Church | more.. 4,350+ views For those wanting in sending money to relieve the people of Haiti but are unsure who to channel their money though there is a relief fund set up in our Toronto Church. Money send to Victoria Free Presbyterian Church must be earmarked for Haiti Relief Fund and we will see that it gets to Toronto. This message from Dr. Saunders in Toronto: Mr. Daniel Jovan, a native Haitian, is presently studying at Toronto Baptist Seminary and is a part-time teacher in Whitefield Christian Schools. Mr. Jovan's father is a pastor in Port au Prince, Haiti, who has a church ministry and runs two orphanages. We do not know of any specific damage to that ministry, and are waiting to hear from Mr. Jovan, who is hoping to arrive in Haiti any time now. A member in our church went on a mission trip in 2000 to that work and stated Pastor Jovan is doing an excellent job of ministering to the needy and preaching the Gospel. We have not put any restrictions on the use of funds at this point as we are waiting for an assessment of the greatest need. To date we have collected approx. $27,000 and will release it as the needs arise. Donations can be made to the Toronto Free Presbyterian Church, Haiti Fund.
