We are apt to view politics merely as a natural thing, but the Bible tells us differently. Scripture tells us that politics always has a supernatural dimension: Satan is intimately involved in it, but it is also ultimately under the sovereign hand of God. That means that politics is always conspiratorial, though not in the way that some people think when they speak of conspiracies at work behind the scenes.
