This Greek word is used 7 times in the Book of Hebrews. Every time it has to do with WORSHIP in the church.
10:22 gives two qualifications for true worship. 1. A sincere heart. 2. Full assurance of faith.
II. Let us Hold Fast v. 23
Hold fast = keep, guard, retain, possess
III. Consider One Another v. 24
“thoughtful attention” – not just a passing glance.
IV. Forsake not the Assembling v. 25
Regular attendance was a problem even in the first century. Troublesome times are not times to forsake the church. In those times we need to redouble our efforts.
