SERMON INFO
There are many areas where godly Christians disagree, from how to honor the Fourth Commandment, to whether we can eat meat, to how we should be baptized, to politics -- particularly politics, during an American Presidential election where millions of dollars are being spent to deceive and manipulated people.

Saint Paul's words are compelling: "Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind" (Romans 14:15). We must think for ourselves and never allow someone else to tell us what to think. A healthy church is a place where people search the Scriptures and critically examine what they hear by the Word.

The pastor's task is to equip people with the tools necessary for them to think for themselves, giving them time to process information and form their own conclusions. When pastors tell their people for whom they should vote, they not only insult their people's intelligence, they are attempting to pull down Christ from his place of authority.

Liberty of conscience is a precious and fundamental truth. It is an essential aspect of the priesthood of the believer.
