The Church must be hospitable without complaining. Peter commands the Church to be Hospitable to one another. The word of God is full of stories of hospitality and love for strangers. After Matthew was called he threw a grand party for all his godless friends, Lydia after being saved begged Paul to abide with her. The Barbarians on the island of Malta showed Paul and the shipwrecked crew great hospitality. Christian leaders 1Timothy 3:2 Titus 1:8 are required to be hospitable. Great lessons are taught in scripture to those that are hospitable. Is it possible the Church is missing out on God’s grace because of its lack of Hospitality? |
