What are the natural divisions of the book of Revelation?
If we take the clusters of sevens (Churches, Seals, Trumpets, Bowls) and examine what is left, we can structure Revelation around seven major visions (Please see the attached handout).
Taking a moment to look at the end of the vision of the Seven Trumpets, we notice a connection between the blowing of the Seventh Trumpet (Revelation 11:15) and the blowing of the Last Trumpet (1 Corinthians 15:52).
The Last Trumpet of 1 Corinthians 15:52 is connected with the defeat of the Last Enemy, Death itself (1 Corinthians 15:26; 1 Corinthians 15:51-54).
The blowing of the Last Trumpet marks the completion of the work of the Lord Jesus Christ in subduing all things under God the Father (1 Corinthians 15:23-28; Revelation 11:15-18).
